Branding and Event Client Spotlight: Bear Lake Reserve

If you have known me for a while you know one of my favorite places to be and work is Bear Lake Reserve. We are up to our fifth session of the year and I am honored to be a part of the this intimate team of professionals. In addition, Castle Ladyhawke, just around the corner, is now part of thier luxury property and services.

There is so much to share about Bear Lake Reserve, and I definitely can’t fit it all into one post. I have several special events to photograph for them this year. I will be sure to share more about why I love this place!

My May trip to Bear Lake Reserve

For today, I want to tell you about the atmosphere that is brought to life during their weekly and special events. In May, I headed up the winding mountain roads for another photoshoot. This session was extra special. All the staff, including remote staff, had been invited to join in on the weekend festivities. Something that felt a little extra special after this covid year!

It began with an evening dinner. Both their formal dinning room and the taproom were packed! Everyone from owners to staff members filled the space, not only working but mingling with guests. Unless you know the staff by name or they are wearing a company branded shirt, you would never know they were there on business. Everyone was always enjoying themselves. The dinner even inlcuded a special birthday celebration for one of the members.

The tone of the evening was set by the musical stylings of Nikki Forbes, a talented young musician local to Asheville. The events team at Bear Lake Reserve really thought of everything to make this night extra special for their staff!

Events and Activities at Bear Lake

There’s always so much to do when I’m at the reserve. During this trip, I got to photograph a special staff meeting, a pickle ball tournament (you read that right!), elegant dinners, live music, a fashion show, a birthday celebration, and of course the beautiful grounds and golf course. Their Asheville property is so expansive and just amazing! Take a look for yourself!
