The Necessary Evil Of Business Ownership

January 27, 2020

Let’s talk about social media. Do you hate it as much as I do?! Seriously, as much as we dread creating content, it is a necessary evil these days. Honestly, when I first started my business I tried to devise a way to market without it, but the more I researched the more I found out how much I really did need to deal with it.

Now, let me be honest, I definitely don’t always practice what I preach to you. I am, without a doubt, guilty of letting my social slide. I think that’s because as far as my personal life goes, I have never been big on it, it is never top of mind, which makes it more difficult to remember in a moment, personal or business, to post certain experiences.

But what I will tell you is having a bank of content ready to roll makes life so much easier. One advantage I have is that I am a photographer, therefore half the battle is already taken care of for me, I have plenty of photos to post, but I still have to put the content with it and that is where I can fall short.

For you, as a Chef, you are juggling a million things in the kitchen as well as running your business. And talk about not being top of mind, snapping a picture as something rolls out of the kitchen is last on the to do list. I get it!

Here is a quick suggestion: Pick ONE social media platform to speak to. For me, I typically write “for” my very special Email List and my (Facebook/LinkedIn) Private Groups. I also post everything on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, but when I write my copy, I am writing to speak to those on my Email List and Private Groups. Why? Because that is where I find my ideal clients, so I want to direct my message and content to them specifically.

So, I felt like this was an appropriate topic this week because it is the last week to get my Social Media Collection at a discounted rate. Those of you on my email list have been getting the countdown emails!

I just wanted to take a moment and explain why I have designed this Collection for you. There is purpose in everything I do and it is because I value your time and what you are trying to accomplish with your culinary gifts that I created this service.

For you, it is another step toward outsourcing those things you hate to do and give you the freedom to work ON your business instead of IN your business.

Due to the popularity of The Social Media Collection we have needed to limit the number businesses we serve in this way. If you are interested in The Social Media Collection for 2021 please contact us at Amanda@AmandaRichardsonPhoto.com or fill out the form on our website.
